Canadian National (CN) Work Train number 908 (CN W908) with CN 50948, a Jordan Type J, 4-100 spreader, with front cab and a snowplow front, came up the CN Bala Subdivision on January 16, 2024, plowed up to and around Parry Sound, then came back down south and tied down in Washago on January 19, 2024. The next day, CN W908 traveled up the CN Newmarket Subdivision to Huntsville, ON. During their trip up north, they were plowing the snow off the tracks. Over the 2 days they were in the region, Connor Earl Productions had the opportunity to travel with them by road to photograph and video their journey, and what a journey it was.
Here is a selection of photographs from our ‘CN Spreader’ journey as well as a video link to a compilation video we shot of the spreader on our journey.
